Labor Day!

Labor Day!! I thought it would be really cool if I went into labor on Labor Day, but obviously that didn’t happen. But I don’t think the Labor Day weekend could have been at a more optimal time. I really needed this weekend to get the house ready for the new baby and I was able to do it. The weekend before the due date was the perfect time to have a 3 day weekend! We spend the day at Mikes parents house at a BBQ and Mikes grandparents came over along with Erin, Matt and Ethan for us all to hang out with little baby Ethan. I didn’t get the chance to hold him because everyone else was claiming time with him. That’s ok though, as Mike said we will have plenty of baby holding time in our near future. Erin seems to be doing pretty well.

Tonight I tried sleeping in the recliner to begin the night. It was pretty comfortable, definitely eliminates the hip pain. Then when I woke up at 2am to use the bathroom, I went upstairs to bed after eating a midnight snack (my new craving – graham crackers with nutella and marshmallows). That worked pretty well and I slept pretty well the rest of the night in the bed.
