Mike and I woke up and started working on putting stuff away in the
house. Moving things between levels that needed to get moved. Then Mike
installed the curtains in the baby’s room and they look sooo cute!! Mikes mom
showed up to help me get the house in order. We started in the baby’s room
putting stuff away, and then moved into the hallway, getting stuff out the
hallway and carrying it downstairs. We washed the pile of clothes left to wash
and hand washed the other items. After that, we emptied the hallway linen
closet and got rid of many items and reorganized the entire closet. We put the
baby towels in the bathroom and made the hotel samples and bed linens fit in
that closet. Then we started on the donation pile in the basement which was
quite a task! I worked on writing everything down while Mikes mom moved it to
the basement door and Mike loaded it into his moms car. It was quite an
endeavor but I feel 100X better now that it’s gone! We then went to the thrift
store to donate all the items and walked around for a few minutes afterwards. I
picked up a Good Night Washington DC book for Erin while there. When we got
back, we worked on the dining room. I moved all Elaine’s dishes into their
holders and added some items to the display cabinet I had got from my moms
house. In general, this was a very productive day! I was exhausted that night
and Mike and I spent the rest of the night relaxing. I went to sleep upstairs
but at around 5am I was tired of flipping back and forth cause my hips hurt, so
I went down to sleep in the recliner. I was already pretty awake at this point
but it was definitely more comfortable on my hips!
