Labor Day Weekend

Today is the start of the 3-day Labor day weekend. Mike was scheduled to work and he ended up working really late to get in his submittal just in case I went into labor. If he didn’t get it in and I went into labor then he would be screwed and would have been forced to go into work. So it was good he did it even though it ended up not being necessary. My mom came over today around noon to help me in the house. We spent most of the day in the scrapbooking room getting it organized. I wanted to focus on the pictures first but my mom wanted to clean the floor first. So we worked on putting stuff away in the room. Then we sorted through all the picture boxes and sorted them by year. Then we went to work scanning them and putting them in their proper boxes. By the end of the day, there was just one small pile of pictures left to scan. I also went through all my embellishments that still had to get put away, sorted them out and started putting them into the magazine holders. There is still a little left to do with that but just a few more hours will get it done. There is still work to do in that room but it is definitely way more organized than when we started. We still have an overflowing bin of stuff that needs to get scanned. All the items that go in the binders and not in the plastic bins still needs to be scanned, my mom said she can come over during maternity leave to do it though. But right now, that is pretty low on my priority list. It is just annoying because it is taking up precious space in my scrapbooking room right now. But I am really glad because it is at least to the point after a few more hours, I will be able to scrapbook Jemma and that is really important to me!!
