Maternity Shoot

We had out engagement/maternity shoot today! I bought a Groupon for a 2 hour engagement session which I was using as a couple/maternity shoot even though that wasn’t exactly what it should be used for. It was a little hard to schedule with the photographer so when the weather started looking dicey, I got really nervous. It was scheduled for 4pm since she had another appt after that and no other availabilities. I told Mike he could be a few minutes late, but he showed up over an hour late!! I was pretty annoyed! It was very awkward just sitting with the photographer waiting for him. Plus after only 45 minutes, it started pouring! It was outside at Centennial Park, so there really wasn’t anything to do about the rain. I was pissed. The photoshoot cost $100 for 3 hours and we were only going to get 45 minutes. And the best weather was the 1 hour that Mike missed. We sat around in the car for a while waiting for the rain to let up and checking the storm on our phones. It didn’t let up at all. Finally, we drove to a pavilion and got some pictures inside the pavilion. Some we even took with an umbrella. I really hope the pictures turn out ok! I also ended up staying at home today to get stuff done around the house and to have plenty of time to get ready for the shoot. I took the day off last week since I knew my weekend would be insane. Since Saturday was going to be all day at Mikes parents and Sunday was going to be all day at my parents, I wasn’t going to have anytime to get things done around our house. I ended up only getting a few things done after I slept in but it was better than nothing.
