TMI - Lost Mucus Plug

So I am 100% positive that I lost my mucus plug today in the afternoon while at work. I thought it happened the other day but I must have been wrong. When I used the toilet, it was on the toilet paper so I got to get a good look at it and that was definitely it! I think that caused me to go into mini panic-attack mode because I didn’t feel ready for the baby at all! I just wanted to make it through the weekend so I could finish getting the house ready!

Catonsville Pediatrics and Drs Appt

I’m feeling pretty good still. I thought the third trimester was going to be way worse than it actually is. 

Mike and I had a morning appt to meet with the pediatrician, Catonsville Pediatrics. It is the place that both Nick and Lynn take their kids and highly recommend. It was across from the library in Catonsville and we met with Dr. Seraia who was very nice! She answered all our questions and I really think we will like this practice. I also had a doctors appt today and it was my first internal exam. Unfortunately it was with the only male doctor in the practice and he made weird comments to him when I saw him the first time. He didn’t impress me this time either. He said I am 1 cm dialated and the baby is super duper far down. He almost seemed surprised how low she was. He didn’t tell me how effaced I was though. But he did tell me that he was touching the baby’s head which is pretty cool! So I imagine I much be pretty effaced for that to happen. He said that since the baby is so low I should have a pretty easy delivery which made me happy :) That is just about the best news I could have gotten. Although it probably also explains why I can’t go more than 2 hours without having to use the bathroom. I weighed 169.4 and my blood pressure was 110/70 and everything looks good

First Contractions!

Today I went down to Arlington for the ONR MURI review. Mike dropped me off at the metro and I metroed in. Today was the first time I felt contractions. Once I realized what they were, I’m pretty sure I had them before, I just didn’t realize that is what they were. They didn’t hurt, it was pretty interesting!

Babies Room is Ready!

So after work today, my mom came over and we finally did everything in the baby’s room, it looks really good! We opened up all the closet organizer stuff I had bought off Amazon and put it in the closet. The tiny pink hangers are extremely cute! We also moved furniture (switched the changing table and crib) and we emptied the dresser and moved it out of the room into the hallway. We sorted out what still needed to get opened and washed and what could still be returned. We sorted out the clothes into sizes and hung the small stuff (anything through 3 months) in the closet on hangers. It looks really good! All the larger sizes are sorted by sizes and are in tied plastic bags on the floor. We really worked hard and made quite a difference in the room. I feel 1000X better now that the baby’s room is ready to go. I would not have wanted to have dealt with that after she was born! I think I still need a better organizing system for the onesies but other than that, I really like it!

Paranoid of early labor ...

Maybe I am being paranoid ... but I think I might go into labor before my due date ... I looked up early labor signs and I have like 5/9 of them. I’m pretty sure I lost my mucus plug last night too. I didn’t look until I was flushing but there was definitely this stringy thing in the toilet that I don’t know what else it would be. Plus I have had awful poopies lately and she is way low and pushing on my cervix and my butt. I sometime feel like she is so low she could fall out. Plus I stopped gaining weight and I have actually lost a little which they say can happen close to labor.  

I think I might have gotten some Braxton hicks contractions last night too. They didn’t hurt though but I had this random tightening of all my stomach muscles. Hmmm ... I am stressed at work right now trying to get everything done before my leave ... just in case. I need a few more days though. But I could be totally wrong and not deliver for weeks too. I’m definitely not ready yet. I don’t have everything together at work yet and our house is still a mess since we have been over at mom and dads so much lately. I need at least 1 more week!

Dan is Pregnant!

We went to the Dan's for a BBQ and found out Dan was pregnant and due in January! YAY for more babies!! :)

Baby Doc Appt

Today at my appt I was 165.4 lbs and by blood pressure was 110/68. Doing good :)

Ethan John Kless is born!

Ethan John Kless was born today! We got the news in the morning along with a very cute photo and after work Mike and I stopped by to visit with the new family! He was very cute! We both got to hold him for quite a while. We took some cute pics of Ethan with his future cousin (my belly). Erin told me about her labor, which lasted 36 hours and sounded awful!
